Acid Resistant Tiles that Kothari Corrosion Controllers manufactures are of top-standard yet affordable. We use ferrous-free clay and process the same at a very high temperature, which leads to the proper fusion of the raw materials. The compact mass that forms has a relatively low water absorption capacity, and this enhances the flexural strength of the final body.

Where the lining has to take heavier mechanical load, thermal shock or tank and vessel duty, the same system is built with our acid proof bricks in 38 mm and 75 mm thickness.

Our standard acid proof tiles are made in 300 x 300 mm, 230 x 114 mm and 200 x 100 mm, each in 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm thickness. Larger 400 x 400 mm and 600 x 600 mm tiles in 10 mm and 12 mm are planned. In running plant conditions larger tiles tend to break sooner than smaller ones, so the size is selected case by case according to handling and floor traffic.
Our acid resistant tiles and alkali resistant tiles are manufactured to IS 4860 Class I, in thicknesses from 10 mm to 25 mm and in a range of colours. Every lot is checked for resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents before it is despatched.
The body of the tile. We use ferrous free clay fired at a very high temperature so that the raw materials fuse completely. The compact mass that forms has low water absorption, which raises flexural strength and stops chemicals from penetrating the tile. Ordinary ceramic and vitrified flooring tiles have neither the low absorption nor the body composition needed for chemical duty.
It depends on the mechanical load, trolley or forklift movement, the operating temperature and the chemicals handled. Tiles of 10 mm and 12 mm suit light duty process floors, while 15 mm, 20 mm and thicker tiles are used where impact, heavy traffic and thermal shock are expected. Yes. We manufacture at Odhav, Ahmedabad and supply acid proof tiles to plants throughout India as well as exporting them. Acid proof tiles are one of the most effective anti-corrosive flooring solutions for industrial plants. Our acid and alkali proof tiles protect floors and surfaces that are exposed to acids, alkalis and solvents. We manufacture acid resistant tiles in thicknesses of 10, 12, 15, 20 and 25 mm, and in sizes ranging from 300×300 mm to 200×100 mm.
